Vice President Grace Herstad
​Howdy! My name is Grace and I’m a junior kinesiology major from Austin Texas. I joined the triathlon team in the fall of my freshman year after starting triathlon at the end of my senior year of high school. Prior to that I have almost no sports experience, except summer league swim. Since joining the team, I have completed an Ironman 70.3 and a few half marathons. Other than triathlon, I love spending time with friends, drinking coffee and going for long bike trips!!

Hailey Acosta
PRESIDENT
Howdy! My name is Hailey Acosta and I’m starting my Master in Architecture this year after finishing my bachelor’s in environmental design at the best university in the world! This is my 5th year in the triathlon team and it has been my favorite part of being an Aggie. I had no Tri experience before A&M but I was a swimmer and have been a swim coach for 5 years now! I have now completed over 25 triathlons, 2 half Ironmans, and 3 marathons! I’m also Conference Commissioner for the region this year! Besides Tri, you will catch me at all things Aggie, the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship, at the Architecture building, running my small business, being a song bird, etc. I’m happy to help wherever and whenever I can!

Henry Myers

Howdy! My name is Henry and I’m a senior accounting major. I joined the triathlon team in 2020 and it’s been the only club I’ve been in my entire time at Texas A&M. In high school I was mainly a competitive swimmer but I did have some experience with mountain biking and cross country/track. I picked up triathlon because the Ironman events sounded so fun. At the time of writing I’ve done a few dozen races, everything from sprints to the 70.3 distance with the 70.3 being my favorite when I am in shape for it. Outside of triathlon with the little time I do have I enjoy cooking, reading books, playing video games, and calling my dog Sunshine.

Howdy! My name is Andrew and I'm a junior nuclear engineering major from Bartlett, Illinois. I've been racing with the triathlon club since 2023 and I've been competing in triathlons since 2020 after joining with a background in primarily swimming and running. I've only ever raced in sprints and olympic distance races but I'm aiming to complete an Ironman before I graduate from Texas A&M. Outside of practice you can find me helping out with research, doing homework at the library, and playing card games at the MSC.

Howdy! My name is MK Kloesel, and I am a junior Sport Management major from The Woodlands, TX. I played basketball my whole life, up until my freshman year of college. When I transferred to A&M, I needed something to stay active and competitive, so I joined the triathlon team! I did summer league swim team growing up but didn’t have any experience with biking or running. I’ve loved biking and did my first MS150 in April 2025 but am still actively trying to become a runner. It’s been a blast being on the team, and I highly recommend you join even if you don’t have any prior experience like me. It may be intimidating at first, but it will be so worth it! Outside of triathlon, I am involved at my church, and I am a lifeguard at the Rec center. My long-term goal is to one day become an Ironman.

Howdy! My name is Daniel and I’m a microbiology major from Plano, Texas. I came to triathlon after playing soccer for many years and was looking for a new challenge and way to stay active. Since joining, I’ve really enjoyed the training, racing, and being part of such a supportive team. Outside of triathlons, I love spending time cooking, trying out new recipes, and hanging out with friends. I’m excited to help the team this year and keep us moving forward.

Howdy everyone! My name is Daisy de Carlos, and I’m a senior environmental engineering student from Sweeny, TX. I did triathlons all through elementary school and picked it back up once I got to college. Since joining the team, I’ve raced numerous sprint tris, one Olympic tri, and recently ran my first marathon (where I ran a BQ!!).
