Daisy de Carlos
PRESIDENT
Howdy! My name is Daisy de Carlos, and I’m a senior environmental engineering major from Sweeny, TX. I did triathlons all through elementary & junior high school and picked it back up once I got to college. Since joining the team, I’ve raced numerous sprint and olympic tris and have also ran 3 marathons (including Boston this past April!). Outside of training, I love crafting, listening to music, and spending time outdoors.
Joining Aggie Tri was the best decision I made at Texas A&M as it has given me so many good friends and my best memories of college!! Feel free to reach out to me by email if you have any questions or want to join the team!

Cody Zamorano
TREASURER
Howdy! I am Cody, a civil engineering major from Frisco, Texas. I have been incredibly passionate about triathlon ever since I joined the team my first semester at tamu. This team has become a family to me and I look forward to every practice and event we have. I came from a running background and running will always be my favorite leg in any race but biking and swimming have definitely grown on me. If you are thinking about joining the team for a community or to find training buddies, I would highly recommend it!

Daniel Dowran
FUNDRAISING
Howdy! My name is Daniel and I’m a microbiology major from Plano, Texas. I came to triathlon after playing soccer for many years and was looking for a new challenge and way to stay active. Since joining, I’ve really enjoyed the training, racing, and being part of such a supportive team. Outside of triathlons, I love spending time cooking, trying out new recipes, and hanging out with friends. I’m excited to help the team this year and keep us moving forward.

MaryKatherine Kloesel
VICE PRESIDENT
Howdy! My name is MK Kloesel, and I am a senior Sport Management major from The Woodlands, TX. I played basketball my whole life, up until my freshman year of college. When I transferred to A&M, I needed something to stay active and competitive, so I joined the triathlon team! I did summer league swim team growing up but didn’t have any experience with biking or running. I’ve loved biking and did my first MS150 in April 2025 but am still actively trying to become a runner. It’s been a blast being on the team, and I highly recommend you join even if you don’t have any prior experience like me. It may be intimidating at first, but it will be so worth it! Outside of triathlon, I am involved at my church, and I am a lifeguard at the Rec center. My long-term goal is to one day become an Ironman.

Benjamin Brier
RACE COORDINATOR
I'm Ben Brier, a senior Agricultural Economics major from Fort Worth, TX. Growing up, I spent time mountain biking and running with my dad, then went on to run cross country and play soccer in high school. When I got to Texas A&M, I joined the triathlon team because I needed a community to train with and keep me accountable. Outside of training and racing, you'll find me with my dog Capo, camping, or playing guitar in my band, The Alpinists. I've learned that getting out of your comfort zone and moving your body is essential for mental health in college. Triathlon can look intimidating from the outside, but my experience has taught me that taking a chance on something unfamiliar is worth it. It's transformed not just my fitness, but my entire college experience. If you have questions or concerns about racing, please feel free to reach out, and I'd love to help you get started!

Scott Steinhilber
APPAREL
Howdy! My name is Scott, and I am a sophomore Engineering major from Kingwood, Texas. I swam competitively all my life with summer league and swam for the varsity team all through high school, I also did triathlons throughout high school. I am going to complete my first Ironman race in November 2026! When I came to A&M I was worried I wouldn’t have a group of people to lean on, that is until I found out about this team. I joined hoping to find my people and instantly this team felt like a family, it took no time at all going from knowing no one to being so close with everyone. Outside of triathlon I love to lift weights, play video games and sim race, praise the Lord and cook. I can’t wait to meet all the faces, new and not so new, it’s going to be a great year Aggies!
