Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote friendly competition and a healthy lifestyle through training and competition in the sport of triathlon.

History

The Texas A&M Triathlon Team was founded in the Fall of 2003 with a membership of just over 10 students. We have grown steadily into one of the largest collegiate triathlon teams in the nation.

Members include both undergraduate and graduate students with a love for the sport  of triathlon. Our athletes compete all over  the United States and at all levels of ability.  Some members join the team without ever  having raced a triathlon, while others are veterans with Ironman finishes.

Whatever your experience, we have the resources to make you better and faster. And most importantly, there's no shortage of good times. We offer beginner friendly educational sessions. No bike? No problem! We have a lot of knowledgeable members who will gladly help you with obtaining a bike.

In addition to bringing beginners to the sport of triathlon, the team's focus every year is        representing Texas A&M at the USAT Collegiate National Championships. In 2015, we placed 5th in the nation for our combined men's and women's team and our men's team placed 3rd. In 2016, the team accomplished an overall 4th place finish! We are constantly seeking out new talent to help us get closer to the top step of the podium!
